Qonto set out very early on to build a genuine recruitment machine, based both on a team of ultra-high-performance recruiters, and on the activation of a key lever: employee referral. But in a fast-paced, hyper-growth environment, the employee referral system is showing its limits:
"We had no process, teams in several countries, and nothing was centralized. Our system was rather vague, and I think complicated for everyone.
On the Qontoers' side, employees had no visibility of the profiles we were looking for, and didn't even really know what the process was for co-opting, who to co-opt their candidate to, where to send the profile, and so on.
And for the recruiters, it was a huge additional burden to manage, completely disconnected from all our processes and our ATS, which required a lot of manual action and follow-up with the teams. It was frustrating not to be able to manage it well, but it was too time-consuming in a context where we needed to move fast."
In January 2022, Qonto announced a record-breaking fundraising round for French Tech, with 486M euros. The objective is clear: to grow from 500 to 2,000 Qontoers by 2025. And to recruit 1,500 profiles in 3 years, Qonto is counting more than ever on its team. The decision has been taken to deploy trusty to optimize the operation of its employee referral program.

"Where trusty changed the game for us was that from day one everything was centralized. It took away the vagueness: before we just had a employee referral program, and now we had a clear employee referral process for everyone. Overnight, all Qontoers had access to the trusty app in Slack, and on the recruiters' side the team benefited from all the automations with our ATS Lever. It sounds simple, but on the scale of a 500-person company, it makes all the difference. I remember, for example, that in the first month we received over 200 employee referrals. While these volumes would previously have been difficult to manage, it was precisely this that enabled us to realize that we were really in control and that we were going to be able to optimize our employee referral program.
